Still no word. Several weeks ago, I exchanged emails with Mr. Osborne Burks regarding the status of my Visas 37 cable. As you may remember, Mr. Burks was kind enough to tell me that the Embassy had not yet received notice from National Visa Center (NVC). Over the weekend, I received a letter dated January 31, 2009, from the NVC confirming that my I-600A petition has been forwarded to the U.S. Embassy, Visa Unit, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal. It also included my NVC confirmation number. Its reasonable to imagine the Embassy has received my Visas 37 cable but I sent another email to the Embassy email address today just to check in. Without the Visas 37 cable, they will not issue my Guarantee Letter.
In the meantime, I wait.

Nicole and I will be there with our daughter Saule...we are looking forward to meeting you and others wading through this process!
Wonderful! I look forward to meeting you.
Although I don't currently live in CO- it is where I grew up and much of my heart still lives! I think there is such a strong connection between CO and Nepal because of the mountains... My husband and I are done with our homestudy and just waiting for the INS. Fun. Hopefully in the next month or 2 we will be where you are now. Thanks for the updates- it helps me know what comes next.
Wish I would be there to meet all the Coloradans in March!
