I still can't believe Kirby turns 7 tomorrow. I also can't believe I let her talk me into hosting a sleepover for 13 seven year old girls. We have a giant Little Pony pinata (that Grant bought in the Vietnamese part of town in a Mexican wedding shop before eating at a Thai restaurant -- but that's another story), Cindy the Clown poised and ready to paint some little faces, High School Musical 3, Wii Rock Band, pizza for the girls and some wine for mom! I did import my own mom to help out with the trauma that is sure to unravel by a little guest that is definitely going to want to go home at about 4 a.m. The older she gets, the older I feel. I better get some rest. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
I also tend to think that a slumber party is definitely better than the rumor/truth that is circulating that the "Registration number" for the Nepal adoption is only a receipt number. Apparently the office that accepts dossiers accepts many different types of official files and the number given out only indicates the receipt of a file, nothing more. I guess the dossier is accepted by the first office and then is sent to the legal department where it is listed in a que. Oh well. This is just the way things go....
